The relationship of MedLife with the adjacent communities is very good and as an important emplayer, MedLife already is contributing with fair salaries to the income of numerous families. Futhermore, MedLife offers rice seeds to small-scale farmers for subistence use and paddy rice to local retailers.

The rice seeds are no hybrids and can be easily cultivated again. This hat further improved the relationship to the neighbouring communities because MedLife helped them to reduce the dependency on international seed producers.

For the sucess and local acceptance of the project, it is important to integrate the town-chiefs of adjacent communities right from the beginning. On the one hand, they and community interest groups will inform the public about the benefits ont the project. On the other hand they will support MedLife to identify potential candidates for the training.
